In addition to one personal item, such as a laptop bag, purse, or small backpack, all passengers on Alaska Airlines are permitted to bring one carry-on bag with the dimensions listed above.
If you are taking a flight on a smaller aircraft, such as one operated by SkyWest or Horizon Air, it is possible that you will be required to check your carry-on bag for free at the gate.
In Alaska, there is no size restriction on personal items; however, they must be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you. If you're not sure, sticking to items that are less than 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45.7 x 35.5 x 20 cm) should be safe.

The majority of Allegiant's flights, like Frontier and Spirit, only includes one personal item. There is a fee that must be paid in order to bring a carry-on bag that is larger than the standard size on board with Allegiant. If you pay for your baggage at the time you book your flight, you will typically pay about USD$20. Adding a carry-on bag at a later time will cost USD$45.

American Airlines

Every passenger on American Airlines, including those who purchased the most affordable basic economy tickets, is allowed to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item that can be stored under the seat in front of them on the aircraft. (If you are planning to bring a pet with you, please keep in mind that the carrier counts as one of your carry-on bags.)
On flights on smaller aircraft, such as those operated by American Eagle, passengers may be asked to check larger carry-on bags for free at the gate. You do not count toward your limit on items that are used for medical or childcare purposes, such as diaper bags, child seats, canes, or other mobility devices. These items are exempt.

Delta Air Lines

Every passenger on a Delta flight is allowed to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item onto the plane with them.
If you are on a Delta Connection flight or a plane that is very full, there is a possibility that you will be asked to check your carry-on bag at the gate for free. This will be necessary due to the limited amount of space available on the aircraft.
The maximum allowable carry-on weight for flights to or from Beijing or Shanghai is 22 pounds (9.9 kg), while the maximum allowable carry-on weight for flights to or from Singapore is 15 pounds.
Delta, in contrast to other airlines, does not impose specific size limits on personal items; the only requirement is that they should be able to fit under the seat in front of you. Examples of personal items include purses, briefcases, small backpacks, camera bags, laptop bags, and diaper bags, as well as "an item of similar or smaller size" to these kinds of bags. Items such as coats, umbrellas, and duty-free goods are not considered personal items.

Due to its status as a low-cost carrier, Frontier applies a fee to almost all carry-on luggage. You are only allowed to bring one personal item with you without having to pay an additional fee.
If you are an elite member of the FRONTIER Miles rewards program or if you purchase a specialty ticket such as THE WORKS, you are eligible to bring a carry-on bag onto the flight at no additional cost.
The price of a carry-on bag varies widely depending on the location of the traveler. You will receive the best possible price on your reservation if you include baggage in that total. If you add it later, you will be responsible for additional fees, particularly if you purchase the carry-on bag at the airport. Carry-on fees typically start around USD$40, and it is often times cheaper to purchase a checked bag as opposed to a carry-on bag.

In accordance with the dimensions listed, Hawaiian Airlines permits each passenger to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item onto the aircraft with them. Carry-on bags that are either too heavy or too large are required to be checked at the airport and may incur a fee.
On the airline, there is no size restriction for personal items such as briefcases and purses; however, these items do need to be able to fit under the seat in front of you. If in doubt, keep your bag under 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45.7 x 35.5 x 20 cm).

JetBlue

The majority of JetBlue passengers are permitted to bring on board one carry-on bag and one personal item, with the exception of those who are traveling on a blue basic fare.
If you have purchased a blue basic fare, you are only allowed to bring one personal item with you. If you have a large carry-on bag, you may be required to pay a fee of USD$65 in order to have it checked at the gate.
On the other hand, certain customers who have purchased blue basic fares are permitted to bring carry-on bags without paying an additional fee. This includes customers flying to London, minors traveling alone, and military personnel from the United States.
If you purchase a higher class seat or reach Mosaic status in JetBlue's TrueBlue rewards program, you will be able to bring a carry-on bag on board with you even if you have a blue basic ticket.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines has one of the most generous baggage policies of any US airline, allowing passengers to bring bags that are up to 24 inches (60.9 cm) in height (but keep in mind, you will be placing the suitcase on its side).
And although the large carry-on bag can be carried on Southwest, the size restrictions of other airlines may prevent it from being accepted.
Each passenger is allowed to bring one personal item into the aircraft with them. Your carry-on baggage allowance does not count toward the total limit for items like walking canes, umbrellas, child seats, or clothing items like jackets. When traveling by plane with a pet, the carrier can double as both a carry-on bag and a personal item for the passenger.

Spirit Airlines

Carry-on luggage is subject to an additional fee for nearly all Spirit Airlines passengers. Only one of your personal belongings will be allowed on board if you haven't already paid for them.
There is no limit on the item's weight, but it must be able to fit beneath the front seat.
The prices that Spirit charges for carry-on bags, varies depending on the flight, it can range from USD$25 to $30 for domestic flights within the United States. If you need to bring carry-on luggage, you should always pay for it when you book your flight because doing so will get you a better price. If you add a bag later, it will cost you more money, and if you do it at the airport, it will cost you at least twice as much.

United Airlines

United Airlines imposes a size restriction but not a weight restriction on carry-on bags.
On the other hand, if you are flying on a smaller plane that has a restricted amount of space in the overhead bins, you might be asked to check your bag at the gate for free.
Every passenger is also allowed to bring one personal item, but it must be able to fit under the front seat, which measures 17 x 10 x 9 inches (43 x 25 x 22 cm).
There is one notable exception that United allows its passengers with basic economy tickets to bring on board, and that is only one personal item. Carry-on bags are not permitted with basic economy ticket.
But if you have a basic economy ticket and are flying to Central or South America (including Mexico), the trans-Atlantic or the trans-Pacific, you are allowed to bring a full-size carry-on bag onto the plane with you.
